About Pasig 11.20.2011 Run
Since the launch of ABS-CBN Foundation's Kapit Bisig para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) on 2009, an annual run for the Pasig River has been held. This serves as the crux of KBPIP's fundraising and information campaign for the ongoing rehabilitation for the River.

Last November 8, 2009, KBPIP organized its first marathon, dubbed "Philippine International Marathon 2009: A Run for the Pasig River." About 23,000 runners from all walks of life joined the run, making it the largest foot race in the Philippines. Inspired by the success of the Pasig run, then-Philippine president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo donated PHP 30 million to the rehabilitation project. Proceeds from the marathon were then allocated to the relocation of informal settlers and construction of easements along Estero de Paco.
KBPIP took a huge step forward in 2010 when more than 116,086 runners joined the 10.10.10 Run for the Pasig River, breaking the Guinness World Record for the most number of participants in a foot race. The previous record was held by the 1988 Bay to Breakers in San Francisco, USA, with 110,000 runners. The funds raised from the advocacy run were used to further rehabilitate Estero de Paco, particularly in putting up coco coirs to prevent erosion and introducing remediation technologies to improve water quality.
